Who it suits
Families, groups and anyone who’d rather help themselves than wait for a server. The dress code is the loosest of any No1 lounge — in No1’s own words, “Flip flops? Trainers? Sequins at 7am? Go for it.” Fancy dress, offensive slogans and anything overly revealing are the only things they’ll turn away.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone wanting a quiet room to work, or table service. For that, look at Clubrooms or a No1 Lounge instead.
Make your own drinks
Pour your own pint
The bar is self-service. There’s a beer tap you work yourself, alongside wine, spirits, soft drinks, juices, tea and coffee — all included in the entry price. No queueing at a bar, no waiting to catch someone’s eye.
Be your own mixologist
The cocktail station comes with recipe cards for the classics, so you can build a proper drink rather than just pouring a spirit and mixer.
What to know before you get excited
- Champagne isn’t included.
- Mixers can be thin. An independent review of the North Terminal lounge found the fridge held only tonic, ginger ale and tomato juice, alongside a soda machine.
- It’s your pour, your responsibility. Lounges can and do refuse service to anyone who overdoes it before a flight.
The games room
Both lounges have a games room with video games, table football and board games — which is rare for a UK airport lounge, and the reason families pick My Lounge over the quieter options.
Keep expectations realistic, though. The same independent reviewer described the North Terminal set-up as “a small area at the back of the lounge with a football table, two chairs, a chessboard and a TV.” It’ll keep a couple of children happy for a while. It isn’t an arcade.
Food
Also self-service: a seven-metre counter of hot and cold grazing food — nuts, cakes, pastries — and a pancake machine, which one independent reviewer singled out as his favourite thing in the lounge. No1 lists hot dishes at the South Terminal lounge. It’s a grazing lounge rather than a sit-down meal.
North vs South: which is which
North Terminal
This is the former easyJet lounge. It opened in 2021 as The Gateway, run by No1 with easyJet, and was rebranded My Lounge in October 2024 when that partnership ended. Same self-service drinks and games room as the South.
Useful to know: some booking sites still sell “The Gateway” as if it were a separate lounge. It isn’t — it’s this one.
South Terminal
The one with the edge: the only outdoor terrace at Gatwick, looking out over the runway. It’s the one place airside where you can sit outside with a drink and watch aircraft — and smoking is permitted there, worth knowing in either direction.
Otherwise the same concept: pour-your-own beer, cocktail station and games room.
Booking tips
- Check your terminal first. North and South are separate buildings; you can’t use the other terminal’s lounge once you’re through security.
- Book ahead at peak times. It fills up — the independent reviewer arrived to a quiet lounge at 6:30am and found it “really filling up” by 8:30.
- Groups of up to 8 can book online in one go.
- Booking direct with No1 includes delay cover — if your flight is delayed you can stay on.
- It closes at 20:00. Evening departures after that are out of luck in both terminals.
- Priority Pass holders can use it, subject to capacity at busy times.
Frequently asked
Is My Lounge at Gatwick in both terminals?
Yes. There is a My Lounge in the North Terminal and another in the South Terminal, both open daily from 04:00 to 20:00. Check which terminal your airline uses before you book — you can’t walk between them airside.
Can you pour your own drinks at My Lounge Gatwick?
Yes. There’s a self-service beer tap for pouring your own pint and a make-your-own cocktail station with classic recipe cards. Wine, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee are included in the entry price. Champagne is not.
Is there a games room at My Lounge Gatwick?
Yes, in both terminals — video games, table football and board games. Set expectations sensibly: an independent review of the North Terminal lounge described it as a small area with a football table, a chessboard and a TV. Good for keeping children busy, not an arcade.
Can children use My Lounge at Gatwick?
Yes. The operator describes it as the perfect location for families and groups, and Gatwick lists children aged 2 to 11 at £20 and infants under 2 free. There are dedicated kids’ areas.
Does My Lounge Gatwick accept Priority Pass?
Yes, both the North and South Terminal lounges are in the Priority Pass directory. We haven’t been able to confirm DragonPass acceptance at either, so check with your card provider before relying on it.
Is My Lounge the old easyJet lounge?
The North Terminal one is. It opened in 2021 as The Gateway, run by No1 Lounges with easyJet, and was rebranded My Lounge in October 2024 when the easyJet partnership ended. Some booking sites still list The Gateway separately — it no longer exists under that name.
