Our picks at Edinburgh
Reasoned from published prices, opening hours and age policies — not from visits, and never from a paid placement.
Aspire Lounge
The cheapest of the three and the one with a full hot buffet. It is also the only one that shuts early — 20:00 most days, 19:00 on Saturdays — so it suits a morning or early-afternoon flight.
Escape Lounge
Open 04:00 to 22:00 — half an hour earlier and two hours later than the other two. If your flight is the first out or the last back, this is the only one reliably open, and it is the newest of the three.
Turkish Airlines Lounge by Plaza Premium Group
The most premium fit-out at Edinburgh, with halal-certified hot food, and £16 dearer than the Aspire next door. The name puts people off, but it is open to every traveller regardless of airline — children of all ages included, with under-2s free.

Choosing at Edinburgh
Two cheap, one dear
The Aspire is £38 and the Escape £41 — near enough the same. The Turkish Airlines lounge is £54, which is Heathrow money at a Scottish airport. It is the nicest room of the three, but you are paying for that.
Gate 16 versus gate 4
The Aspire and the Turkish Airlines lounge are next to each other near gate 16. The Escape Lounge is near gate 4. If you already know your gate, pick the lounge at that end — an Edinburgh lounge visit is short, and ten minutes of walking eats into it.
Opening hours are the real differentiator
The Escape and the Turkish Airlines lounge both run 04:00–22:00. The Aspire opens at 04:30 and closes at 20:00, or 19:00 on Saturdays. For a 06:00 departure all three work; for a 21:00 one you are choosing between the Escape at £41 and the Turkish Airlines lounge at £54.
Memberships
All three take Priority Pass. The Aspire and the Turkish Airlines lounge also take DragonPass. The British Airways lounge at Edinburgh is airline-only and can’t be bought into, which is why it isn’t in the table.
Frequently asked
How many lounges does Edinburgh Airport have?
Three you can book — the Aspire Lounge and the Turkish Airlines Lounge by Plaza Premium Group, both near gate 16, and the Escape Lounge near gate 4. There is also a British Airways lounge, but that is for BA passengers and status holders only.
Can anyone use the Turkish Airlines lounge at Edinburgh?
Yes. Despite the name it is a pay-to-enter lounge open to any traveller, run by Plaza Premium Group. You do not need to be flying Turkish Airlines.
Which Edinburgh lounge opens earliest?
The Escape Lounge, at 04:00. The Aspire opens at 04:30.
Which Edinburgh lounge is open latest?
The Escape Lounge and the Turkish Airlines lounge both run until 22:00. The Aspire closes at 20:00 on most days and 19:00 on Saturdays.
Is an Edinburgh lounge worth it?
At around £38 it is one of the better-value UK lounges, and Edinburgh’s departure area gets busy at peak times. If you have more than an hour to wait and would otherwise buy a meal and a couple of drinks airside, it roughly breaks even.
